Managed to put the mss down this afternoon and spent my time reading Wetlands by Charlotte Roche. I didn't know what it was about - E gave it to me last week and it has been lying on my desk since then. I laughed out loud and sat with every muscle below my waist clenched tightly for most of the two and a half hours. If you haven't read it, you should go out and buy, borrow, or steal it tomorrow. An original.
A cool photo from New York, October '07 ... it's impossible not to take a cool photo in New York, you don't even need to look through the viewfinder ... or gawp at the back of your camera, whichever. This was actually a color shot, with the exposure cranked as low as I could get away with.
